Donations and Refunds
Steeple Community is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission.
All transactions are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are secured using 128-bit SSL encryption.
By donating, you:
1. Agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
2. Understand that you can stop communications or update your personal info by emailing store@steeplecommunity.org.au.
Your information is used only to process donations and communicate with you. De-identified data may be used for internal benchmarking and fundraising improvements.
Donation Types
Donations may be one-off, recurring, or made through a Will. Steeple Community will determine how donations are allocated. For donations directed toward specific projects, we will make reasonable efforts to honour your request, but are not obliged to do so. Donations of goods (gifts in kind) will also be allocated at our discretion.
Receipts
We provide receipts for approved donations of $2.00 or more. One-off donors receive a receipt per donation; recurring donors receive an annual receipt unless otherwise requested. Anonymous donors will not receive tax-deductible receipts.
Online Donations
Our website uses a secure server to process donations. However, internet transmissions are not completely risk-free.
We record donor name, contact details, and donation amount in our secure fundraising database, which is protected by user IDs and passwords. For more on how we use donor data, see our Privacy Policy.
Refund Policy
Refund requests must be made within 14 days by emailing store@steeplecommunity.org.au.
Transactions made using a credit card are final unless unauthorised use is proven.
We assess all refund requests seriously but are not obligated to grant refunds. Refund decisions are at our sole discretion. Include the donation date, amount, method, and reason when requesting a refund.
Refunded donations are no longer tax-deductible, and any associated receipt should be destroyed. You are responsible for ensuring correct receipts are submitted to the ATO.
Recurring Donations
To cancel a recurring donation, visit your account Dashboard or email store@steeplecommunity.org.au at least 10 business days before your next scheduled payment.
Self-managed donations (e.g. via direct debit) can be cancelled or changed at any time.
